How will change occur?
My training and natural inclination led me to blend a Cognitive-Behavioral approach with a Psychodynamic perspective. This style of therapy will focus on how the thoughts and feelings you have, affect the choices you make. Together, we will pay attention to how your life experiences have led you towards those thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
I take a strengths based perspective, which means we will look at what works and figure out how to expand that to other areas of life. I also borrow from Solution Focused therapy, which gives us the opportunity to develop some concrete strategies for ways to create a new path.
Most importantly, therapy starts with you, wherever you are. We will work together to ascertain how to move forward and empower you to make the changes you are ready to make.
